Meet this sweet little senior puggy, Momma. Momma came to us with her mate a few of her older babies. She lived her life as a brood mom with very little veterinary care. As a result of that Momma contracted heartworm, which is fatal if left untreated. She has had her treatment for the heartworm and will be ready to be adopted soon! Momma loves to snuggle all day long, be it in a plush doggie bed or on your lap. She is a very well mannered, loving senior. She is coming along very nicely in her foster home which has other dogs for her to snuggle up with. She is learning the potty ropes in her foster home and is getting the hang of outdoors for doing her business. She appears to have been potty pad trained. If you can give this sweet heart her golden years home, please put an application in for her today. She has plenty of snuggling yet to do!

While the wonderful volunteers at BP&SBR have gotten me the treatment I needed, I know that it wasn't free for them. I needed special, expensive medication for several weeks an a few blood tests to make sure I free of that nasty worm. Once I was strong enough, they also got me a dental cleaning that I so badly needed. My teeth that are left (many of them fell out or needed to be removed), are pearly white and my foster family doesn't mind if I kiss them now! ( Which I love to do, being the happy puggy that I am!)
