Ellie has had a rough start. She was found tied to a tree. Her owners were moving and animal control was called to pick her up, but had not shown and her owners were leaving. The neighbor inquired about her being left there alone at night and was told they could have her if they want her. They took her but could not keep her in their apartment so they called Buffalo Pug. Our volunteers went out at midnight to pick Ellie up and she is now safe and sound.

Ellie has since settled into her foster home and is getting some much needed TLC! Her nails were extremely long and she was in need of a grooming. She now looks beautiful and her personality is even more beautiful.

Here is what Ellie’s Foster Dad wrote about her:

“Ellie is a great little poodle who has a lot of love to share with the right person. She loves to be petted while sitting on your lap. She is very curious and loves to walk around scanning the area. Ellie is extremely good with children of all ages. She kisses her foster dads one year old grand-daughter and plays with his eleven year old grandson. She gets along great with other dogs but we don't know if she has ever seen a cat. She knows the sit command but is so playful; she sometimes pretends that she doesn't hear it. Did I mention that is also gorgeous? We haven't had long enough to know if she is house broken but so far has gone on puppy pads every time.”

As you see, Ellie is an awesome little poodle girl! She has gone to the vet and was so well behaved while there! She got all her vaccinations and is healthy but has a little tartar build up on her teeth. That’s just an excuse for us to give her extra crunchy treats! In a couple weeks, Ellie will go back to the vet to get spayed and then will be ready to go to her forever home! Submit your adoption application today! This girl won’t be in rescue long!

UPDATE! Ellie was scheduled to go in for her spay today, but lately her foster dad noticed that her belly had gotten bigger. We were hoping that she was just eating good, but as it turns out, Ellie is about 45 days into her pregnancy and is expected to give birth within the next 3 weeks. Updates will be soon to follow.
