Sookie is the sweetest french bulldog that came to us from a backyard breeder. Her owner decided not to keep her when she had to have a hernia repaired and was spayed at the same time. We do know that Sookie has had at least one litter of puppies.

Sookie is doing great in her foster home and gets along very well with her foster fur-siblings. She is a very mild mannered girl and likes snuggling with the other frenchies, but will be happy to snuggle up next to her foster mom or dad as well. Sookie is not a very active frenchie, but does have spurts of energy that are filled with zoomies. From the kitchen to the living room, up on the couch, now on the chair! These generally last about 5 minutes and then it's time to rest! Sookie doesn't play with toys, but does enjoy a nylabone or a bully stick. She is great with children, but her forever home cannot have any cats!

Sookie will be 4 in January, is housebroken and is a skinny 24 lbs. We are trying to put some weight on this girl! She has a very sensitive tummy, and requires a high quality food to keep her tummy happy. She is currently eating EVO kibble with some canned Merrick mixed in. Her forever family will have to continue with this to keep her at a healthy weight.

Sookie walks great on a leash. She has some boo-boos on her neck from being tied out. Because her neck is still healing, she uses a harness when going on walks. She loves running in the fenced in yard with her foster fur-siblings, it makes her so happy hopping through the leaves! She is great company in the car for short rides. She does have some travel anxiety on longer rides. This has not been consistent, but Sookie probably won't be a dog to go on errands with you all of the time. She enjoys HOME! Laps, giving kisses, getting a back scratch and sleeping in bed with her people. It is so clear little Sookie just wants to love and be loved in return.

Sookie is currently on antibiotics for a cyst on her neck. We do not know at this time if she will need to have the cyst removed. When she is ready for adoption, we will require that Sookie meet the resident dogs before she is adopted.

Sookie had an allergic reaction to her antibiotics that requires emergency medical attention! Please help Sookie with her recovery and her vet costs! Sponsor Sookie Today!
