Cubby was removed from a hoarding situation and brought to an overcrowded shelter. Buffalo pugs extended a helping hand and Cubby is now living the good life in his foster home!

Cubby is a 4 year old Pomeranian. His hair was cut short to rid him of the matting that had obviously been a problem for quite some time. Now, his fur is on the shorter side but with regular brushing, it will grow back tangle free and more beautiful than ever! He has an old leg injury which has healed a little unnaturally, but it does not slow him down for a second! Cubby is so sweet, he must be made out of sugar! Everyone that he has met had just melted for him, including his foster family. This is what they wrote about him:

Cubby is extremely friendly and loves to play with cats, other small dogs (we do not know if he would play with a really big dog) and toys. He has not shown one ounce of aggressive behavior. We were able to take his food away and touch him while he was eating. He was also fine with having another dog eating out of the same bowl while he was eating! It appears he has never seen larger dogs, as the one he met he seemed confused by and barked at a little bit but was friendly. Cubby is definitely a people dog and loves to be picked up and cuddled. He is also crate-trained. As soon as we made up his bed in his crate he wandered in and went to sleep. Once we closed the crate for the night, he never once cried. He also did not have any accidents in the night. We have been crating him during the day because we do not want him to injure his neuter site and he has not urinated in the crate nor has he barked excessively while in it. We were told that he may not have been housebroken but he has been very receptive to potty-training and loves to run around outside. We have yet to notice any real indicators to tell if he has to go outside, but if you see him circling something, he is very receptive to a sharp "No" and clapping of the hands a few times. He immediately stops. To reinforce this, we have praised him whenever he goes potty outside.

Cubby is not a barker. He walks very nicely on his leash. We have been calling him Cubby and he comes right away when he is called. He looks just like a little bear cub.

As you can tell, his foster family adores him and can not wait to see him go to a great home. Even though the beginning of Cubbys life has been rocky, we are sure that the right family will find him and that from now on, his days will be full of sweet sunshine and lots of love! He wont be in rescue long, so submit your adoption application today!
