Eddie's original owner passed away and the family took him. They kept him outside and sadly, Eddie was dropped off at an county run shelter. Poor Eddie did not pass the sharing of food test at the shelter! The local dog warden called us to get Eddie out of his predicament! Because all and all he is a great wonderful little guy! He just does not like to share very high valued food!
Eddie is a fabulous dog. He is housebroken, has great house manners and loves to play with toys. He wants nothing more than to cuddle up on the couch with his human at night and snooze. He likes to play fetch, ride in the car and go for walks. He does pull a bit when he is leashed on his collar but a harness has been a great help and with that, he doesn't pull much at all! He isn't much of a barker but will let you know when someone is at the door. He gets along great with other dogs but unfortunately doesn't like to share "the good stuff." He is fine sharing his toys and rawhide but doesn't like to share his food or any really tasty treats. Eddie's foster mommy is working hard to change that. She's* now sitting on the floor with him while he eats and he only gets good treats when she is holding onto them. So if he wants the good stuff, he has to share with her. He has really shown some improvement in just the last few days! All Eddie needs is
someone to love and trust and his life will be complete! He would make a great addition to a family that has lots of love and affection to give but should not be housed with younger children. Older children would be great though, as he loves to play and romp around!
Eddie is being fostered in Rochester!
