Jackson was surrendered to BP&SBR because his owner could longer keep him.
At some point in his short life, poor Jackson was probably not treated too kindly. He has a tough time dealing with disruption, so we don't want to overload his senses by introducing him to children. He would make a wonderful, loving, loyal companion for an older person or for anyone just needing company.
His confidence in people increases daily as he has responded well to love, patience and training. He is learning not to bark when company arrives and to not growl at people who are new to him. Jackson is very eager to please and to be a good boy so further love, patience and training will help him be all that he can be.
Jackson is very playful. He also behaves well with other dogs and cats. When off leash in his foster's fenced yard, he loves to pretend that he does not hear his name being called, but gives himself away as his tail wags furiously! He loves to cuddle and just "hang out". Do you have time on your hands to give this sweet boy? His next "hero" might be you!
Jackson is being fostered in Rochester!
