Hi everyone! I'm Sookie! I'm a Shih-Tzu mix and about 1 year old. I was a stray on the streets for a good part of my puppy-hood. I didn't like it very much, and I'm sure happy to be in a nice warm house! I am a little shy when you first meet me, but it doesn't take more than a few kind words and some nice ear scratches to make me your best friend forever. My favorite place to be is in somebody's lap. Anytime I'm lucky enough to find a warm lap to lay in you can be sure I'll be there all night.

I need to put on a few pounds, and the shelter had to shave half my hair off because it was all tangled up when they took me in. But my foster mom says I'm beautiful inside and out. I'm really shy around new dogs. I'm not mean to them, they just scare me a little. I met some cats a few days ago but I really didn't notice them. I haven't spent any time with small children, but I think they might scare me too. I'm working very hard on my house manners. It's pretty cold outside for a skinny little half-naked girl like me - but my foster mom has discovered that when its too cold for my little feet, a wee-wee pad suits me just fine. I sleep all night in a cozy little dog bed that is just my size. This indoor life is just what I have been looking for. Will you give me the happily ever after I've always wanted?
