This sweet senior shih tzu lady is Markell. She was sadly surrendered because her people could no longer provide for her care. As you can see from her photos, Markell came to us with a nasty skin allergy and was in pretty rough shape. She is doing a little better now and just had her hair done in the "after" photos. She still needs some time to get her skin condition under control but she is looking and feeling much better now and we are starting to review applications for her.

Markell is now on a special diet and medication to help her skin to heal and to help get to the root of her allergies. We are working with our vet to thoroughly evaluate her and determine what her long term needs will be. Markell is just as sweet as can be and wants nothing more than to be with her humans and shower them with love and attention. Once she has her skin and coat back in shape, we are sure that she will look and feel like the princess she is.
