4/2012: Smiley is now known as Simon. Simon is returning to BP&SBR because his family had a new baby and as wonderful as Simon is with his family, he's very leary of strangers. We're looking for a new home for Simon that fits his needs.
This handsome boy with the adorable grin is Smiley. He was dropped off with Moller and another dog to a caring rescuer by a puppy miller who supposedly has to get rid of his dogs. We all hope that this miller is being shut down forever, but regardless, we wanted to help Smiley and Moller find great homes.
Smiley is quite shy and it takes him awhile to relax and get comfortable. We are pretty sure that he spent his entire life in a cage because he will pace in circles when he is anxious. Once he warms up, though, and feels safe, he is very playful and snuggly. He is good with other dogs and cats. Due to his nervousness, we think it would be best for Smiley to be in a home with no children, or older kids only. He is working on his house training and coming along quite well. All he needs is some love and care and he will open up and let all his silliness shine! Can you help Smiley to feel safe and loved? Smiley is being fostered in Rochester.
