Maddie had a tumor removed that
has been diagnosed as Grade 2 mast cell cancer. The lab report said it
was "aggressive with a tendency to metastisize" and that the tumor did
not have a clean margin of healthy tissue on one side, which means some of
the tumor was left behind. She had a second surgery to remove the
remaining cancer cells so it will not spread. She is doing great now, but there's no guarantee with mast cell cancer that it won't come back. Even though we can't guarantee that Maddie's cancer won't come back, we CAN guarantee that she will provide all the love and adoration a person could ask for. We are praying that we can find this sweetie a family that will take her in and love her in spite of this diagnosis.
This sweet, freckled gal is Maddie. She is a great dog and is looking for a new forever home by no fault of her own. Her people had to move and now she is in need of a new family.
Maddie is a very nice girl, is house and crate trained and gets along well with other dogs. Her favorite things are going for walks, cuddling with you and giving kisses. She is very obedient and knows all the basic commands. She deserves an equally wonderful home and is going to be a real joy to the lucky family that gets her, so hurry and submit your adoption application for Maddie today. Maddie is being fostered in Rochester.
