This lovely lady is Star. She was a shelter turnover who had gone through the "cell dog" program. The program takes shelter pups and brings them into the jail facilities and has prisoners help to train the dogs to make them more adoptable. Star did learn all the basic commands, but still requires a firm handler to keep her focused.

Star is really a wonderful dog and will make a nice home security system. She is watchful and will bark and "guard" strangers. She is not aggressive, but lets intruders know she is there. She is working on her housetraining and is doing very well. Star still has alot of puppy in her and loves to romp around and play with the other dogs. She is good with all the dogs, but is protective of her toys and food so needs to be monitored.
