Paprika was formerly known as Roberta. When we took her into foster we noticed that she didn't recognize the name; and since it didn't seem to suit her, we started calling her Paprika (Rika for short) and she's really taking to it! Paprika and her brother Ernie came to us as strays from a West Virginia shelter and we promised them that we would help them find the forever homes they so deserve.

Rika is quite a charmer and is learning quickly what life is like in a home environment. She is very bright and in a very brief time she has become fully housebroken, crate trained, and has learned some excellent in-home manners. Rika is no longer jumping up on people, she is respecting the smaller dogs when she plays, and she's learning how to be comfortable on a leash. She's come a long way in a very short time, so we think she promises to be quite a dog for someone. There's not a lot of work left to do with her!

Paprika is a very loving and happy puppy. She is good with dogs, cats and children of all ages. The kids at her foster home have pulled at her and messed around with her and she takes it all without batting an eyelash.

We don't quite know what mix of breeds Rika is, since she was picked up as a stray. We keep trying to guess but nothing seems to fit. She is just about full grown at this point and she's about 35-40lbs. She thinks she's a small lap dog though and will try to cuddle in your lap any chance she gets.

I can't stress enough what a first class puppy Rika is! This would be an excellent addition to your family and she is adaptable to a busy lifestyle.
