This extraordinarily loving little creature is Sophie! Sophie is 5-6 yrs in age and is absolutely loving, calm, mellow and a lap dog. She enjoys human companionship very much and warm laps make her so very happy. She likes her food and treats too of course, and a bit of play is always fun, but ultimately, watching TV with her favorite humans is what she enjoys most. Sophie was rescued from an Amish puppy mill where she was used as a breeding factory for most of her life. The odd thing is that even though she was caged and used in this manner, she is strangely different than most puppy mill dogs in that she took to potty training very well and has a demeanor that is completely non fearful of humans. Perhaps this girl was at one time someone's pet, but we can not be sure of that. Of no matter, we think that Sophie will make anyone a fantastic companion and pet and you should apply quickly if your interested because she sure won't be in rescue for long!
