Meet Griffy, an adorable purebred male Brussels Griffon. Griffons are a very rare breed of dog, and even rarer to find in rescue. This little guy was a breeding male in a puppymill until his recent rescue.

Although he is a rare breed, Griffy is a typical adult puppymill dog, in that when he first came to us, he had no idea what life is like in a home with loving human hands. At first, he didn't have a clue what stairs, carpet, furniture and toys were all about, and was totally in awe of cats, refrigerators and trees! He learns more and more every day and, with the help of the pugs, he now understands that the potty spot is outside. He is still a little shy, but nothing like he was at first. Now he loves to get attention and is learning his housemanners. He loves dogs and cats, and would do great in a home with furry companions. He has not been around children yet, but I'm sure he would be fine with them as he is a very submissive little guy. He shows no aggression whatsoever, and is very good about his bathing and grooming. He is a good eater who isn't picky, so he will fill out well quickly.
