This poor little girl came to us from a puppymill and was in a very bad way. She had been forced to produce so many puppies that during her last birthing she pushed out her female parts. The medical term for this is a prolapsed uterus and our vet said that she may have been that way for as long as two weeks. We did not post all her pictures because it was a most gruesome sight, and it was not certain that she would survive at all. She has been in the hospital for a week, undergone surgery, been on intravenous fluids and antibiotics and required constant attending to, and is only now finally stable enough to go home. During her stay at the hospital she fell in love with one of her caretakers who is also crazy about Sugar, so they will be staying together. Sugar will probably always have health issues associated with this, so a mommy who works for a vet is an ideal situation for her. She will also be able to go to work with her sometimes and help to console the other pups who have to be in the hospital. This was, by far, the most perfect match!
