Meet lovely little Ruby! She is a 3 year old purebred Silky Terrier. She was surrendered only because her humans have a toddler and a new baby and couldn't devote the time and attention to her that she deserves. She is house and crate trained and has had some basic obedience training. She knows sit, stay, speak, shake and sit pretty. She will bark to alert, but does not bark for no reason. She grew up around young children and other dogs, so is good with both. She does try to be the alpha with other dogs, so is a little bossy with them. She loves to play, go for walks and rides in the car.

Ruby's only quirk seems to be that she prefers female humans over males. She doesn't act aggressively toward men, but she will bark at them and avoid them. We do think that this is something that could be overcome with patience and understanding though. She lived in an all female household except for a male toddler, so it just may be that she is not accustomed to men yet.
