This fine young man is good ole' Fritz! He was a what we call a by-law failure around these parts. While we are primarily supposed to stick with the small breeds under 30#s, we once in a while get blind sided by a wonderful and loving large dog that we just have to rescue. Fritz is one of those cases!! He was released from a puppymill as a "rare rough coat weimeraner"... we had no idea what that meant, then we found out that a gene that carries for this longer coat does not work its way into the births of many or this type of dog... it is a rare occurrance. Due to the rarity of this type of Weimeraner, the American Kennel Club does not accept admissio as a breed standard.
