Update 7/10/05: Penny has been one of the best dogs we have ever had the pleasure of rescuing, she is fantastic with other dogs and she has a real zeal for life. With people she is very obedient and acts appreciative about everything! We believe that Penny needs to be in a home with other dogs so that she can romp and play, a home with a fenced in yard is preferrable just so that she has the freedom she seems to enjoy so much when at play. If you are interested in Penny, please apply today because you will honestly never find another as sweet, obedient, playful and joyful as this girl!

Original Posting: If you are interested in this cute little 11 month old boxer/shepherd mixed girl, express interest now! She was recently saved from a puppy mill and we are getting her shots up to date and evaluating her personality... she is over our normal weight limit, but she was too sweet to leave in the situation she was in... so far she is loving and energetic, loves humans - seem like a great family dog! We just had to save Penny from a life of breeding... she was already a seemingly loving family dog and at 11 months old, we thought that leaving her in there for years would only wear her family orientation down. She captured our hearts at the puppy mill when she reached between the bars of her cage with her tongue just to lick our hands and she continues to steal our hearts daily and makes us realize that what we do to help these dogs is very worth all of the time, energy and aggrevation that we contend with voluntarily day in and day out...
