Meet Sandy! What breed is she? Who knows? The shelter referred
to her as a corgi mix. She weighs 27 pounds and is estimated to be
1 to 2 years old.
Sandy was a stray that spent a month in the shelter waiting to be
claimed by her owners - but they never came. She is now loving
life at her foster home and has been a very good guest. Chewing
her nylabones is a favorite pastime - when she can't find someone
to pet or play with her. Running around the large fenced yard
playing in the snow is also great fun to her. She appears to be
housebroken (not a single accident yet) and knows some basic
commands. She has taken to being crated with little complaint.
Sandy is getting along well with the resident dogs in her foster
home (after some initial bossiness) and the shelter said she tested
ok with cats. We have not had her around children and due to her
energy level, older children would be best.
If you are looking for a fun-loving, energetic dog that will
worship you - give Sandy serious thought!
