Libbey is a perfect example of why folks should never buy a dog as a gift for someone. She was purchased from a breeder and given to a teenager as a present... as the teenager got older, she began not to care about Libbey any more... other teen angst issues were more a priority. Neglected and lonely, Libbey would seek out affection from anyone who would give it to her. She became a neusance to the family because no one really wanted a dog... it was a gift after all. They decided to just give her up. We are glad they brought her to us, but we are sad that she had to endure this 'dogs are objects' kind of perception for as long as she did. This is a sweet girl that just wants human companionship. She will love you forever, and would hope you can do the same for her. She deserves better! We believe that Libbey will need some basic training to learn how to have better manners when she wants attention, because of this, her adoption donation has been significantly reduced.
