Update: Bullet is back in rescue. He has a bit of a problem with separation anxiety in that he does not want to quiet down unless he is getting all of the attention. This boy will want to sleep in bed with you, he will want to be by your side at all times and he will want you to be just in love with him as he is with you. If his bonding needs can not be met, he will begin to let you know through his barritone howl, common to all bassets! This is a lover that needs a devoted loving human partner... can you be that person?
Original Posting: Wow is what we said when we first saw this basset! Bullet is a hefty boy. He is has a great laid back disposition and is very little trouble at all! Don't let his age fool you - he still enjoys going for walks and playing in the back yard. He is a 65 lb mush melon looking for a permeant home that will give him the attention and love that he graves. He is very much a people dog and very loyal. He spends much of his time outside but love to be inside just as much laying around his foster mother's feet. I love to play or lay in the sun. He is very intelligent, inquisitive, and looking for a human to provide unlimited loyalty. He probably do better in a home with another dog and/or someone who will be around a lot since he is use to being with his brother - Lightening - who is much like Bullet. He loves to go on walks, needs to lose about 5 bls but is otherwise very healthy. I am a very good listener; sociable, do not chew on anything, love for my belly to be scratched and to be brushed! If you have room in your heart and on your couch, Bullet is the perfect companion for you and he is ready to snuggle on the couch. If you can help Bullet find someplace to lounge, please be sure to sign up to adopt him today!
