Update 7/10/04: Spanky has had his bum leg amputated. He is now alot more spiffier and still acts as any other dog would. We do not consider Spanky to be special needs in any way. He has never had the use of his front left leg, so it being removed has not presented any problems of any sort. This little guy is so cute and we find it hard to believe we have not been able to generate more interest in his adoption. He does not get along with cats or dogs, but is the best "people" and "children" dog we have ever met!!

Original Posting: Spanky has alot of gusto for a little champ his size! He is the smallest JRT we have seen in our rescue and he is also one of the cutest! Spanky will shower you and your whole family with love and kisses. He will spoil you with attention and would like to get the same back from you! Spanky was hit by a car when he was a puppy and because of that, he does not have the use on his front left leg. At this time, Spanky keeps his bad leg tucked into his harness as it just gets in his way, this unfortunate disability does not change how cute and independant this boy is... he has lived without the use of his leg for several years and it does not stop him at all! One other thing about Spanky is that he will turn into cujo when he is around other dogs. For some reason, Spanky hates other dogs with a mysterious passion. Of no matter, if you do not have another dog but want a little love bug to give you affection, then this is the little guy for you... please apply today if you are interested in Spanky!
