Since he came to us, Percy has blossomed into a wonderful little boy. He is playful and affectionate now and has good housemanners once he learns his surroundings. He will require a special home that has the patience and understanding to help him adjust and get comfortable.
Percy came to us as a stray from a shelter in Mississippi. It appears that he must have been used strictly as a breeding male as he was not neutered and had only one goal in mind. Due to long-term neglect of his chronic dry eye condition, it was necessary for his eyes to be removed and sewn shut. The eyes were in horrible condition, he had no sight in them and they would have only caused him continual problems and pain. He does, however, get around very well without sight and quickly adapted to his foster home and learned his way around nicely. He also came to us heartworm positive, has undergone treatment and his last heartworm test in April was negative!! He is otherwise very healthy and is house and crate trained. Percy is a "special needs" boy who will require a very special forever home that is willing to give him the loving care he needs to feel secure and safe... could that be you? If you are that special someone, please write me directly at: email@example.com.
Percy has been adopted!!!
