PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

Buffalo Pug & Small Breed Rescue is a non-profit incorporation that is funded and operated by a grouop of very dedicated volunteers. In an effort to cover our vet bills and such, we ask for an adoption fee/donation for all of the pets that are adopted through our program. This fee ranges depending on the age, breed and health of the dog being adopted. Please review our By-laws for more information.

Each of our adoption applications are scrutinized to determine whether or not we currently have a dog in foster that matches with a given application. If we do not have a match, we will NOT contact you. Each time we have a dog that is ready for adoption, we again screen all applicants and search for a match. When we do hit upon a match, you will either get a phone call or an email from one of our volunteers. Please be patient if you do not hear from us for a while! We do not forget about any of our applicants and you will remain in the queue for 6 months, or we find you a match.

Once we have matched a dog with an applicant, we ask the applicant to review said dog on our website. If the interest is there, we would reach out to the applicant. At this point, we set up a home visit and begin contacting references.

If everything works out, we then set up a time for the adopter for a meet and greet to take place.

Thanks and we hope to speak with you very soon!
