Dolly came to BPSBR in mid July as a retired puppy mill momma. She turned 5 this last Spring and is looking for a quiet & calm houshold to spend her forever in. If we were to describe her in only a few words, they would be *shy, *sweet, and *seeking love. She spends most of her time quietly curled up near her foster family or in the back yard. Loud noises and sudden movements startle her - but she gains a little more confidence every day. Dolly is good with other dogs, but has not been tested with children or cats. Potty training is in progress, with verbal praise seeming to be her favorite reward. She is crate trained, and building confidence on a leash. Being a yorkie, she will need a family that can commit to her grooming needs. Additionally, adopters should be aware that she has a slight heart murmur and luxating patellas. The doctors at Millersport Small Animal Clinic do not believe either of these conditions will cause significant problems for Dolly, but with that being said- nothing is guaranteed until imaging is done on her knees and an echocardiogram is performed on her heart. These are two items that her adopters will want to follow up with at their personal veterinary office, should Dolly show signs of discomfort in the future. She will be eligible to go to her forever home as soon as August 11th. Could she be the perfect fit for your family? Apply today!
