I'm Harper Rose a 4yr, 9lb Shih Tzu, rescued from appalling living conditions. Upon arrival at my foster home, I was paralyzed with fear, coming to terms with the traumatic experiences of my past. Despite the challenges I faced I tried to learn trust and heal. One week later the introduction of Calista, believed to be my 2yr old daughter from my previous experience, was my turning point in my recovery. Within 24 hrs, I transformed into a loving, devoted companion giving kisses, wanting affection, belly rubs, playing, and the two of us following foster mom everywhere. I'm housebroken and will use puppy pads when I need to. I peacefully coexist with the resident dogs here. I'd love the thrill of running freely in a securely fenced area, a luxury I never known. Most importantly, I am deeply devoted to Calista and hope she can accompany me to my forever home.
