Chubby Checkers (aka Chubbs) is a 12 year old Puggle who was turned into an Ohio shelter at a "whopping" 51 pounds !  He and his brother , were surrendered because the family was moving and couldn't take them with them.  His brother was quickly adopted, leaving 12 year old Chubbs alone in a scary shelter.  He is now a Buffalo Pugger !  Chubbs is the most loving dog ever !  He is house trained, nuetered , up to date on vaccines and other than being a bit over fed looks to have been well taken care of.  We are of course working on a new meal plan and gentle fitness routine to help him slowly shed the dreaded battle of the bulge.   Chubbs gets along fine with dogs , cats and people !  His favorite thing is going on car rides and giving the best dog hugs.                We think Chubbs would fit nicely in any home looking for a low-key companion as he is not very active, he is just looking for a place to retire and be loved again.
