Welcome Ronnie Papi to Buffalo Pug! Papi is a very special boy who hasn't had the best medical care in his former life. He was found in Rochester and when nobody claimed him, we welcomed him here in Buffalo. Papi is hard of hearing and has spondylosis (a degenerative disc disease) currently he is able to ambulate on his own, however he does have an abnormal gait which affects his backend; depending on the progression he may require an assisted device to later in life to get around. He can go to a home with stairs, but it would probably be better for him if there were none. Papi loves short walks and needs regular massages to loosen up his muscles. Above all, Papi loves to be with his human, enjoys snuggling on the couch and sleeping in bed at night; he would do best with someone who is home the majority of the time. Papi loves treats and is a begger. Papi is a barker, he will bark to get attention, when someone comes in the house, if he can't find his human, or if he senses someone walking by the house. He is housebroken with your direction to go outside. Papi will require a special person who is able to meet his specific needs.
