Topper is a 2 yr old male Chihuahua/Pug mix , he came to us due to his owners health issues.  He is a calm, loveable sturdy built snuggly young dog. Topper is still very much a puppy some areas as he is still learning boundries and self control and how to become the perfect housemate for someone.  We are working on some house training issues that we don't fault Topper for due his and his prior owners situation.  He does give cues of needing to go outside as he becomes restless and won't sit still.

Topper is good with other dogs once he meets them and has had time to meet and relax with them. He loves having a friend to romp and play with. All he needs is a family to be patient, loving and consistent with his training as any young dog needs.

Topper has never been around very young children, so only as we do not know his reaction to children under 5 yrs we suggest 6 yrs and up.

UPDATE 2/8/15 Topper has done great with learning his manners and boundries! He is just about house trained and he has learned to be a great family companion. He is shy when he first meets new people but once he warms up to them and knows he can trust you , he is your best friend. He has shown he loves calmer older children (around 10 +)  Young children who are too loud or active may be too much for him.

He loves to go for walks, play or just cuddle with his favorite person. Don't overlook this sweet little Chug.
