Welcome Jimi! This sweet & funny boy was surrendered to a kill shelter because his family fell on hard times. A friend of our rescue called us for help, and we jumped at the chance to save him.
With all the confusion of losing his family, landing in a scary shelter, and spending 2 days on transport to rescue, he remains a happy guy who wags his tail at the mention of his name.
Here's what his foster mom has to say about him:
"He is very sweet and very calm. Loves dogs of any size and kids. Jimi also likes to wrap himself up in a blanket to get warm. It's really cute and funny to watch him do it. I am pretty sure he is housebroken, but is a marker. He doesn't mind the crate, although I don't think he will need one if he stops marking because he isn't a chewer. Jimi has great coloring that pictures don't do justice. People have to come see him in person!!"
There you have it folks! Jimi came from a home with kids, cats, a Boxer, & bunnies so he gets along with everyone and everything. He also loves to "Go for a Ride" in the car. The marking can be helped with a belly band and some persistent training. His brindle coat is absolutely beautiful, not something we've ever seen in a Doxie before. Jimi needs to be neutered, but will be available very soon after that.
